Theme Park Tickets

Are you planning on taking your family to a theme park? Well if you’ve not checked the ticket prices for a while you could be in for a shock. In the South-East UK where Exceptional Internet is based you’ll rarely get change from £30 each at most parks if you just turn up on the day!

Of course we want to save money on our tickets, and guess what - theme park entry is yet another thing you can make big savings on by buying online.

Start with the official website of your theme park of choice and see what they offer for booking in advance online. Usually you’ll get a saving and you simply need to print out your ticket and present it along with the credit card you used to make the booking at the advanced tickets office and in you go. You might even beat the queues to get in the park.

But is it possible to save even more money? Well how about looking further afield than the theme park’s official website. Sites like Lastminute.com and Tickets365 offer discounted advance tickets for most UK theme parks including Alton Towers, Chessington, Legoland and Thorpe Park, often even cheaper than the advance rates the parks themselves offer.

You can even manage to save more money on ticket prices in the most unlikely places. If you shop with Tesco the chances are that you are part of their Clubcard scheme, but did you know that the Tesco Clubcard website allows you to redeem your vouchers online for theme park tickets at a massive (up to 75% off) discount?

But it’s not just about saving on your ticket price, the internet can also be a great help in ensuring that you get value for money from your day out. Many big theme parks have unofficial forums and sites that you can mine for information, find out which rides to visit first to beat the queues and which days to avoid due to the chance of them being too busy to fully enjoy the park. These sites are easy to find using search engine terms like “Alton Towers Forum”, “Thorpe Park Forum” etc. and it’s worth spending a bit of time before your trip checking a couple of these sites out as they will often be populated by frequent visitors to the parks and you can take advantage of their local knowledge.
